2015 in review

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2015 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

A San Francisco cable car holds 60 people. This blog was viewed about 1,200 times in 2015. If it were a cable car, it would take about 20 trips to carry that many people.

Clothes of Memories

How does one unsing songs
the notes of which
touched in places orgasmic
uncompose poems written in trance

How does one undo romances
that haunt with an ache
unlove love which was felt
in a moment of spontaneity

Now, how do I wash a kiss
of fire that rained
till it rode away in a taxi
at five in the morning

Even clothes wear memories,
burn them or wear them

Song of Lies

Neither grudge nor curse I shall.

But, write I shall tonight, a song of your lies
Buried in the pit of an ocean that’s your heart
Your ancestors’ graves, warmer than your
Heart that even mask deceit wears.

So shall I tell the wind of your lies,
So the sky shall see your hollowed heart,
The ground shall open to bury the broken
Pieces of my tears, swallow your mask

Naked, be you!!! Dance to ‎the song
I wrote of your lies. The wind shall scream
The song‎. So your other lives shall hear
Them lies, floating in space.

Home Coming

Snow capped mountains
glistens in the late winter sun;
melancholy song of hoopoes
beckons me home;
fluttering colourful flags
gives me hope to move;
the ring of the water prayer wheel
churns up memories;
smoke from the hearth
teases my taste buds for Ama’s food;
smell of freshly plowed fields
reminds of Apa’s protective hold;
the music from the flute
tells me my friends are waiting;
before the last leaf falls
I will come home

Keeping me Alive

[Entered for Monday Poetry Potluck . The theme is Dreams, Visions and Reveries.  December 5th, 2010]

God put us in each others path
to help one another
life is good and its better
when we have each other as friends

Life is full of tears and smiles
but we will smile
and stay like this forever
till the end of time
you won’t lose your way
when I go away
even when eternal sleep embraces me
you have to keep me alive
in your memories
thoughts
conduct
fate might led us to different lives
but the path we travel
will be same

Don’t drag me into your thoughts
too often
least you want to always keep me there
that’s only where I can stay
only in someone’s thoughts
I know you hold me dear
I also know not for long
the moon will rise and set
so I will set
as I rose in your heart

Always remember
I never forgot you then
now
I will never forget you ever

LIVE LIFE

Dear children,
you will grow up someday
and see for yourself what
life is about
it is beautiful if you know
how to live it
don’t rush to grow up
take your time
nothing can match your childhood moments
there will come a time for you to grow up
learn to love more
it is the most beautiful feeling
though you will suffer heartaches sometimes
hatred should be forgotten
it will drain out every good in you
count on hope
for it will never disappear
never strive to be perfect
in imperfection, you will find beauty
quit is the word
quit fighting, you won’t be a coward
it takes courage to stand and fight
takes even more courage to back off
only a hero can do that
quit drugs
it will take you high
but drag you into a hell of a life
quit telling lies
a lie will path ways to thousand other lies
but don’t quit on yourself
seek justice
give justice
fairness and equality are qualities
worthy of a leader
smile at all times
your smiles will make someone’s day
it will make your day
look around you
nature showers joy in abundance
bundles of joys in dew drops
gaze at stars
you will see yourself there someday
come to terms with your past
live in your present
your future will unfold on its own
remember with every meeting
comes departure
you will have memories to cherish
living a life
is like painting a picture
many times you get to choose
the best colours
make your own strokes
pick your colours wisely
